Melania Trump’s ‘Be Best’ Program is not Really Melania Trumps ‘Be Best” Program

In Washington (APOLITICAL AMERICA)- Melania Trump, rolled out her formal platform: “Be Best,” this week. According to Melania and officials on the ground the comprehensive program’s overall focus is on three main points — well-being, fighting opioid abuse and positivism on social media.

The White House Program was well attended by several luminaries including her husband President, Donald Trump and Vice President, Mike Pence according to reports given to CNN.  “As a mother and as first lady, it concerns me that in today’s fast-paced and ever-connected world, children can be less prepared to express or manage their emotions and often times turn to forms of destructive or addictive behavior such as bullying, drug addiction or even suicide,” she (Melania) said during the Rose Garden event last Monday.

Well it appears that just after the well attended roll out event, reports show Melania Trump is now being accused of plagiarism due to the fact that the booklet published as part of her “Be Best” initiative  copied an Obama administration document released by the FTC in 2014 titled, “Chatting with Kids about Being Online,” although some language has been updated-the graphics are even identical designs. (see actual example, below)

Trump’s brochure, “Talking with Kids about Being Online,” was published Monday. The official White House website incorrectly stated it was “a booklet by First Lady Melania Trump and the Federal Trade Commission.”This incident comes especially troublesome for many detractors after the last major public appearance from Melania at the 2016 RNC speech which appears to have been plagiarized from main parts of Michelle Obama’s 2008 DNC speech.

TV News Correspondent Jarrett Hill originally caught this paragraph (above), which appears to have been lifted nearly verbatim from the speech Michelle gave at the 2008 Democratic Convention.

Lastly, the issues-that Melania has agreed to champion have also become a controversy, due to the fact that her husband is certified as one of the most public, and prolific, offenders of bullying and name-calling on Twitter and other social media in America. Shame, Shame, Shame! (glg)
